It's a beautiful day!!!

This is the first time i'm actually happy on a Monday. The day started off excellently as I didn't have to attend a long meeting. I know the day will end well for me since I'll be celebrating my birthday with my family. I get to play with my newphew and nieces too!!! Let's see what happens in between.

Betrayed...

This blog is gonna be a one hell of a venting session. Do not read if you are offended by extreme profanity.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Someone once sent me slides on the journey of life, where we are all on board a train. We stop at multiple stations whereby passengers get either on or off the train. We meet all kinds of people. In this realistic and materialistic world, we will meet a fare share of bad people.
The thing about bad people is that you know that they are bad right from the start. You can recognize them and then you can stay away from them. What happens when you meet a good person and start building a relationship with him?
You become friends with him. You hang out with him. You trust him. You rely on him to help you with some stuff. Then you get betrayed by him. What happens? WTF happens then? WTF happens when this bastard betrays your trust, cheats you off your money and continues to put up an innocent face?
WTF happens when that sonofabitchmotherfuckingbastard mismanages the money that you entrust to him? WTF happens when he keeps delaying paying you back the money even though he knows he committed a criminal offense?
Can I fucking push him out of the train? Can I fucking tie a rope to his dick and then push him out of the train? Or would it be more fun if I tie a rope to his balls and then push him out of the train? What other tortuous things can I do to such motherfuckingbastards?
Fuck you! FUCK YOU!!! You wanna play games with me? I'll take this to the police. I will fucking make your life difficult. I wanna see how you can still do business. I wanna see how you fucking get destroyed and have to beg for money to feed your fat ass.
You have no shame. I pity your family. I pity your wife for having an asshole like you for a husband. I pity your kids for having an asshole for a father. You brought this on yourself and your family gets dragged into it because of your own greed. Fuck you!!! You are nothing except a parasite that wastes precious oxygen on this planet!!! FUCK YOU!!!
I hear voices...
I hear voices... well, either that or I have a multiple personality disorder. Here's what happened recently.
Me : I really need a more powerful car.
Me (2) : Yeah. You definitely need to change your car. A paralyzed snail can overtake you in the blink of an eye.
Me : Huh? Who's that?
Me (2) : I'm me, or rather, I'm you.
Me : WTF?
Me (3) : I agree. You might not be able to afford a R34 GTR but a GTT is within range. Then there's the S15 also.
Me : OMG! I'm hearing voices!
Me (2) : Nah... You're just talking to yourself.
Me : I'm talking to myself?
Me (3) : You just answered your own question.
Me : But...
Me (2) : You should also consider an Evo or a Scooby as you like 'em anyway. Roy would be a great help if you get a Scooby and need help to tune it.
Me : But...
Me (4) : You guys are crazy. Who goes for turbos nowadays? Fuel prices are unstable. You'll never know when the govt is gonna suddenly increase the fuel price again. Go NA. Although it's expensive, but Type R is brand new and comes with a 3 years warranty compared to those recond cars.
Me : But...
Me (2) : Although NA is easier and cheaper to maintain, the tune up will cost you a lot more. The limited power increase doesn't justify the costs. Turbo-charging is still the best option for huge power increases.
Me (3) : Yeah. You can have 500 horses easily under the hood and yet still won't be breaking your engine. Of course, your engine internals will need work, which is another costly affair. However, it is still relatively cheaper compared to NA tuning.
Me : Wait... Can you guys...
Me (4) : True. Na tune up will most often not be able to match turbo-charging power increases unless there is a huge displacement change. However, our weather and traffic conditions really discourages the ownership of a turbo-charged car.
Me : Erm... You guys think I print money?
Me (2, 3, 4) : No but you could start planning your finances and cash flow. You could also start selling your ass or something. Just shut up and go get your dream car.
Me (5) : Anybody wants my ass? I'm willing to negotiate to meet your price.
Me : WTF???!!!
Everybody Lies...
I am a huge fan of House. He is an addict, anti-social, pessimist, realist and most importantly, the best diagnostician in America. Heck, even the CIA flew him in their private jet to Langley for a consult in Season 4. He steadfastly clings on to the notion that "Everybody Lies" and solves all the cases in the end. Season 4's ending had quite a twist and it was really really different and I was surprised and also amazed how it played out. Kudos to the whole production crew of House.
Anyway, what really "drew" me to this series was his firm belief that "Everybody Lies". It's the simplest, plainest and bluntest (if there is such a word) truth. People lie for many reasons but the motivation is always the same, we want something or someone bad enough to lie for it. Problem is, the person being lied to sometimes is willing to "accept" the lie as truth because they also want something or someone badly enough to turn a blind eye to it.
Sound familiar? Welcome to the world of myopic utopia - where everybody lies and everybody else lives in a life full of lies. Hold on... wait a moment. This is maybe a bit too harsh. It's the beginning of a new year!!! Why so glum? Not everyone lives a lie right?
It's up for interpretation really. You can pick whichever side that you feel more comforting. I for one, am not going to ask the other 6 billion (and still growing) world population if they are living a life full of lies.
I doubt that I will stop lying to myself or to others. I can't even say that I won't lie to hurt others but one thing is clear - I will make it a point not to lie about my feelings to others.
I will make known my real feelings to my family and friends, that I am who I am because of them. I exist because they exist. I believe that will be the greatest truth that you can tell to your loved ones instead of holding it inside and assume that they know.
Do the secret (erm... actually everyone does the same thing) brotherhood handshake. Slap the guys on the back. Hug the girls (don't simply go hugging strangers or you'll get slapped, arrested and charged in court). Hug your parents. Tell them that you love them. They aren't getting any younger. It'll be nice to know that you still love them even though you never seem to be at home due to work or partying outside with friends. Hug your siblings, even if you hate them. Kiss your gf/bf/spouse and tell them that you love them.
We all live on borrowed time on this planet and we all don't mind lying about anything and everything. It would be nice to be truthful when it matters most. Go tell someone that you love them. Happy New Year!!!
Do you see what I see?
I daydream a lot. It's a form of retreat where I visualize my own world - a place where everything is perfect. Although having dreams are essential because they drive you to work harder to achieve your goals, it is also a vicious hand that leaves you reeling after you slap yourself for being too unrealistic or over-confident. Oh well, I guess you can't have it your way all the time - which is true. If you always get what you want - you'll end up bored with your own life. I don't believe about being content with what you have.
If our ancestors were content with their lives, we would still be walking instead of driving; eating raw food instead of chilling out at a restaurant and waiting to be served; drawing on the cave walls instead of blogging; chasing after some animal to hunt for food instead of chasing after girls, career, money, or whatever that makes us tick; having sex just to pass time instead of having sex to feel good (now that would really be boring); I'm sure you get the point right?
2008 has been a year full of crap and I am extremely confident of bitching throughout 2009 about what went wrong in 2008 but I know that nothing will change and 2009 will be another crappy year for me if I don't change my attitude. I tend to be pessimistic most of the time and am quick to react, sometimes too quick for my own good so...
My 2009 resolution is to learn to let go and start looking at things from a different perspective. I see a great year ahead for me. Do you?
